Before the Rainbow Bridge
Three Hidden Bridges Inside the Human Energy System
The following is a simplified ‘bare bones” workable-esoteric outline of a powerful method to bring about integration or unity within our 3-fold Personality while moving toward a harmonious partnership - energetically & consciously - between the latter and the higher Self or Soul.
In the Korasomi Training Circle (Korason Method/KM + Hakomi), these sonic, experiential, mindful techniques are learned & practiced, and then contribute to successful relationships, healing and psycho-spiritual evolution. KM is being integrated with other modalities to enhance education, conflict resolution, psychotherapy and healing from trauma.
Conscious Sound & Human Evolution through
the Korason Method (KM) for Authentic Voice & Dialogue
In the esoteric psychology described in the Ageless Wisdom teachings, human development proceeds through a process of integration and bridging.
Before the higher spiritual bridge - the Rainbow Bridge or Antahkarana - can be consciously built, the human personality must first become coherent and integrated.
This coherence develops through the weaving of three internal bridges linking the major centres of the personality.
Through these three Symbiotic Chakra Bridges, instinct gradually becomes consciousness, and consciousness becomes service.
The Three Bridges of the Personality:
1. Bridge of Compassion: Solar Plexus ↔ Heart
The solar plexus is the centre of emotional life, instinctive reaction, personal will & desire and is the residence of the powerful inner Sacred Warrior.
The heart centre expresses a higher order of energy - inclusive love, empathy, appreciation, compassion, and relational intelligence.
The evolutionary movement of energy is therefore: emotion → compassion
When this bridge becomes active:
• fear becomes care
• anger becomes clarity
• personal power becomes ethical strength
In Korason Method (KM) language:
The inner warrior of the solar plexus becomes guided by the heart.
2. Bridge of Creation: Sacral ↔ Throat
The sacral centre governs instinctual life force, sexuality, vitality, and creative impulse in its biological form.
The throat centre governs creativity in form through:
• language
• art
• communication, dialogue
• social contribution
The evolutionary movement here is: instinct → creative expression
When this bridge functions well:
• sexuality becomes creativity
• desire becomes inspiration
• vitality becomes meaningful expression
In Korason language: Sound becomes the civilizing form of eros.
3. Bridge of Life: Root ↔ Crown
The root centre anchors survival, grounding, and incarnation.
The crown centre opens awareness to meaning, spiritual orientation, and the greater whole.
The evolutionary movement here is: survival → purpose
When this bridge stabilizes:
• spirituality becomes embodied
• grounding supports higher awareness
• life acquires direction and meaning
The Weaving of the Threefold Personality
When these three bridges function harmoniously, the human personality becomes internally integrated. The physical, emotional, and mental aspects of the person begin to cooperate. Only when/as this integration occurs (and it is a gradual and lengthy process) can the next bridge appear. This is the Rainbow Bridge.
The Fourth Bridge: The Antahkarana
In the symbolic language used by the Tibetan teacher DK, the process of spiritual integration is sometimes described as “the three, and then the four.” First the threefold personality becomes integrated. Then a fourth relationship emerges - the conscious link between the Personality and the Soul.
This link is called the Antahkarana or Rainbow Bridge. It connects, through myriad threads, the threefold human personality (Physical, Emotional and Lower Mental planes) with the deeper, higher, wider wisdom, light and purpose of the Soul.
Sound as a Bridge-Building Practice
The Korason Method (KM) for Authentic Voice & Dialogue works with conscious sound, breath, and mindful awareness to help weave these bridges in lived experience. Each articulation moves energy between centres of the body and gradually stabilizes the human energy field. This tends toward an experience of emotional regulation, spaciousness, clarity, safety & comfort within one’s own skin.
Below are nine simple sound practices illustrating this principle. These are the most basic, simple, elemental & “no frills” versions of the corresponding techniques. Every added phoneme (vowel or consonant sound) contains its own personality & soul, and so can diversify the experience and effect.
The Six Primary Bridge Articulations
These correspond to the three chakra pairs (see visual below), with sound moving in both directions between each pair. So there is a reciprocity of giving and receiving.
1 Solar Plexus → Heart
• Emotion rising into compassion
Example sound pattern
(O – MA – HA)
Gesture: Hands move upward from belly to heart, then arms & hand open outward.
2 Heart → Solar Plexus
• Love strengthening and nourishing emotional life
Example sound pattern
(A – MO – HO)
Gesture: Hands move gently downward from heart to abdomen. Arms & hands move outward on HO. Good for affirming healthy boundaries.
3 Sacral → Throat
• Instinct becoming creative expression
Example sound pattern
U (oo) - ME (may) - HE (hay)
Gesture: Hands spiral upward from the lower abdomen toward the throat, then arms & hands outward (offering combined energy to others)
4 Throat → Sacral
• Expression fertilizing life force
Example sound pattern
E (ay) - MU (moo) - HU (hoo)
Gesture: Hands move downward from throat, then around pelvis, as if planting seeds in the body, then arms & hand carrying outward
5 Root → Crown
• Life force rising toward meaning
Example sound pattern
U - MI (mee) - HI (hee)
Gesture: Hands move slowly upward along the central axis of the body to the head, then arm & hands stretched outward.
6 Crown → Root
• Spirit grounding into incarnation
Example sound pattern
I (ee) - MU (moo) - HU (hoo)
Gesture: Hands descend slowly from above the head toward the base of the body. Hands move then out in circle around pelvis, as if planting seeds in & around the body.
Two Articulations for the Rainbow Bridge
As the personality bridges become more stable, conscious vocalization can also be used to explore the relationship between Personality and Soul.
7 Personality → Soul:
• Aspiration/Invocation
Example sound pattern
(U (oo) - MO – MA - ME (may) –MI (mee)
• Meaning: The integrated personality offering itself upward to the Soul.
Gesture: Hands & arms rise from pelvis toward space above the head.
Vocal pitch: starting very deep, continuously rising, ending with the high I (ee).
8 Soul → Personality
• Inspiration/Descent
Example phoneme pattern:
I (ee) – ME (may) - MA - MO - MU (moo)
Meaning: Inspiration descending into life; the Soul impressing its wisdom upon the personality; blessing descending, Soul’s light entering every day life, the soma & Gaia.
Gesture: Hands move gently downward from above the head into the heart and ending at the lower chakras.
The Ninth Articulation: The Ajna Centre
The Ajna or Third Eye centre is not part of a symbiotic pair. Its function is integrational and directional - a clearing house. Thus it assists in the successful movement and distribution of energy accompanying articulations 1 to 8. It gathers the energies of the personality and aligns them with the soul’s purpose. This makes it an ideal symbol for the 9th KMA.
9 The Ajna Integrating Sound
• Alignment/Distribution; gathering the energies of all centres into coherent expression and clear direction.
Example sound pattern
AUM KASHAM (a visitation from the sacred Sanskrit tongue)
Gesture: Hands come to forehead, then remain quietly folded on the lap in stillness.
A Simple Way to Understand the Whole Process
The practice unfolds in three stages:
First we build three bridges within the personality:
• Compassion • Creation • Life
Then a fourth bridge appears: the Rainbow Bridge (Antahkarana) between Personality & Soul. Finally, the Ajna centre gathers and directs the energies of the whole system. In this way, sound becomes not merely expression but a tool for the integration of human consciousness.
Structurally this forms an elegant mandala:
3 bridges + 2 directions each = 6
2 Rainbow Bridge articulations = 8
1 integrating Ajna articulation = 9
…a satisfying symbolic completion, as numerologically, 9 symbolizes unity.
Part of the strength of this model is that it integrates five domains that rarely meet in a coherent way with a simple architecture:
1. Esoteric psychology (DK, Antahkarana)
2. Somatic awareness, mindfulness self-inquiry & therapy (Hakomi / Korasomi)
3. Energy anatomy (chakra dynamics, bioenergetics, chi or pranic healing)
4. Sound practice (Korason Method Articulations, science of frequency)
5. Human development (psychological integration)
Very few frameworks connect those cleanly and practically. Most writings about the Antahkarana are abstract and difficult to apply. Most somatic work ignores the spiritual dimension (and vice versa). Most chakra teaching lacks developmental psychology. There’s an elegance in the structure:
3 bridges within the personality
2 directions of flow in each
the 4th bridge to the soul
the 9th integrating centre
The most valuable part of this model is that it’s grounded in practice (KMAs). That makes it alive (heart, soma, intuition) rather than merely cognitive & conceptual. This ‘three bridges’ structure also appears in other wisdom traditions (a future blog). Here we explore the pattern of ascent, descent and integration through sound and embodiment.
In a future article we’ll explore how the six bridge articulations can be practiced as a continuous mantric flow, and how the final three articulations deepen the connection between personality and soul (the transpersonal realm) through the Rainbow Bridge. I also post KM demo videos from time to time.
